Speakers' Bios

Susan Roberts, Vice President, Business Banking, Citibank N.A.
Susan Roberts has over 30 years of experience in management and sales in the financial services industry. A 27-year veteran of Citibank in the Silicon Valley Area, Susan served as District Manager for retail branches for 11 years, moving into Citi’s Commercial Banking Group in 1993. Susan manages business relationships of all types, primarily in the Silicon Valley/Peninsula area. She enjoys working with start-ups to mature companies, assisting with a broad range of financial services. Originally from the Midwest (Missouri & Kansas), Susan holds a B.A. from San Jose State University. Susan has served on the Advisory Board of Directors of the Software Business Cluster and the Environmental Business Cluster for several years, and has been an active supporter of the EBC virtually from its inception. Susan is a 4-time recipient of the U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award (100+ hours of volunteer work annually), a program enthusiastically supported by Citi throughout the nation. Her great joy comes from personal volunteer opportunities, as well as representing Citi with a variety of community partners. Particular focus has been toward assisting victims of Hurricane Katrina through 5 missions to Mississippi assisting in rebuilding efforts. She is a strong proponent of donating blood, with bi-monthly blood platelet donations through Stanford Blood Center.

Richard Olson, Vice President and Regional Sales Manager, Bay View Funding
Richard Olson, Vice President, is located at Bay View Funding's corporate headquarters in San Mateo, CA. where he manages BVF's business development efforts in the Northern California, Northern Nevada, Utah and Colorado territory. Richard joined Bay View Funding in 2007 bringing with him more than forty years of experience in the financial community. His career in banking, which began at Wells Fargo in 1968, lasted twenty-five years before he entered the factoring and asset-based lending field where he worked with AeroFund Financial and then Capital Associates for the past fifteen years. Richard has enjoyed developing lending relationships with emerging businesses and addressing their growing financial needs. His many years of experience in financing and contacts in the financial community have served him and his customers well.

Craig Schumann, Senior Vice President – Trade Sales Manager, Citibank
Mr. Schumann has worked in International Trade and Foreign Exchange for nearly twenty years. Prior to joining Citibank in June of 2005, he spent nine years with Bank of America, three of which were in Hong Kong, and eight years at Security Pacific Bank. His client experience includes large corporate as well as middle market companies within industries such as retail, textile, technology and communications. Mr. Schumann earned his International MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School following prior work and study opportunities in Japan and France.

Brad Harmon, President, First Star Capital
Brad Harmon, CLP is the President of First Star Capital which he founded in early 2005. He has been in the equipment leasing industry for over 10 years. Brad began his career at Balboa Capital in 2000 and quickly moved on to become a top producing Regional Account Manager and eventually Vice President at WMI Capital, Inc. He has earned the CLP (Certified Leasing Professional) designation which is highly regarded within the commercial lending / equipment finance industry. Mr. Harmon has a B.S. in Business Administration / Marketing from San Francisco State University. Brad's current responsibilities at First Star include marketing, sales and managing the overall strategic direction of the company. His expertise is in identifying, developing, and implementing industry specific equipment finance programs for both vendors and end users.
